POPSUGAR Must Have - Special Edition: Fall

With each season, POPSUGAR does a special edition box. This is the fall box, which in my opinion had the overall theme of: "meh." I usually write raving reviews of the boxes and this one I'm not crazy about. Their special edition ones are usually hit or miss, in my opinion. With thousands of subscribers, it's hard to please everyone, so I accept that and move on...to ordering the holiday one! From my experience, the summer and holiday ones seem to be the best.

Capsule Parfums ($38) - The scent is OK (pretty much like everything else in the box, just "OK"). I read a review before I received the box and someone said it smelled like Pink Sugar (another scent). I had never smelled this so I was curious to test this out. So, I get the box, go home, and open it with my roommate. She smells it and says, "that smells like pink sugar!" without me ever saying anything about it. So, if you were curious as to what this smells like...surprise! It's pink sugar. I'm not crazy about the scent, it's a good travel size though so that's a good one to keep in my purse or the office for days when I forget to use my usual fragrance. Who knows, it might smell really good when applied!

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser - This is a strawberry oil face wash. I was intrigued by this for a few reasons; it says that strawberry oil is a natural exfoliator, and I've been hearing so much about oil cleansers in general as of late. Although I haven't used it yet, this is my favorite product from the box. It retails $32, can be left on for 5 min as a mask, is a make up remover, you can use it with a clarisonic, and you can use it to clean your make up brushes! I love a 2-in-1 product and this is a 5-in-1, SOLD! I will write a review solely on this, coming soon...

Marchesa Voyage for ShotStyle Printed Scarf ($140) - I'm not crazy about this scarf..the colors don't scream "fall" to me and it's a little small, the patter is just blah. I'll wear it I'm sure, it's just not my favorite. I absolutely loved the scarf that came in the Spetember box (monthly) so it would be pretty hard to beat that (and it's a fraction of the price)!

Sugarpova Gummi Candy ($6) - And...another one in the food box for friends. I don't eat high fructose corn syrup, which happens to be the first ingedient. They are super cute, though, so I'll give them as a little topper along with a birthday present to a friend or something of the sorts.

MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick in Radicchio ($25) - The design, shape, and packaging are really cool! As well as the formula, I really liked it. However, the formula does nothing for me if I don't like the color... Again, they can't include a shade that fits every subscribers coloring, so I understand. In my opinion it's a little clay-like with the coloring...it reminds me of the southwest, a brown/orange clay.

Joie Zorina Knit Hat ($100) - This hat is SO soft and comfy, I just can't seem to get it to look right, though! I've tried a bunch of different ways, and unless my hair looks absouletly perfect that day, the hat just doesn't sit right. And, who wants to waste a perfect hair day on a hat?! That's the opposite of why you wear a hat! However, when it gets -50 in Chicago this winter, I don't think i'll care... messy hair > frostbite.
